# AI Call Setup Guide | Android Wake-Up Call & Alarm Permissions

Set your wake-up time in AI Call and check Android notification, alarm and full-screen permissions. Learn how the three phone-style calls work.

## Set up a wake-up call with AI Call

AI Call is a free Android voice alarm app featuring AI (Ai). Answer the simulated incoming-call screen to hear Ai’s audio.

1. Install AI Call from Google Play.
2. Use the clock icon in the app to save your wake-up time.
3. Turn on the schedule you want to use. You can save multiple times, but only one can be active.
4. Answer the incoming screen at the scheduled time. An internet connection is required to load the audio.

## Check Android permissions

Names and locations vary by device and Android version. Start with Settings in the top-right corner of the app.

1. Notifications: allow notifications from AI Call.
2. Alarms & reminders: allow the app to schedule alarms.
3. Display over other apps: check permission in the app settings.
4. Battery optimization: follow the app guidance to check restrictions on overnight operation.
5. Full-screen notifications: allow these in Android settings for AI Call.

## If you miss the call

There are up to three calls: at the scheduled time, 3 minutes later and 6 minutes later. Ai looks smiling, concerned and angry in turn. Answering cancels the remaining calls.

## Before the next morning

The schedule switches off after you answer or after the final call. Check the time and turn it on before your next use. It is not an automatic daily repeating schedule.

## How is this different from a phone call or AI conversation?

The incoming-call screen is simulated inside the app. AI Call is not a telephone-network calling service or a real-time AI conversation. Answering plays Ai’s audio.

## View or delete history

In-app conversation history is automatically deleted after 30 days. You can also delete it using Reset conversation.

## If calls do not arrive or appear full-screen

First check that the schedule is on and the wake-up time is correct. Notification and full-screen presentation vary by device and Android version.

1. Check notification and exact-alarm permissions in the app settings.
2. Check full-screen notification permission if your device offers it.
3. Check whether battery or power-saving settings restrict AI Call.
4. Set a test call a few minutes ahead and check it with the screen locked. Keep a separate alarm for important plans.

## If audio does not play after answering

Voice messages require an internet connection. Check connectivity and device volume. Receiving a notification and playing its audio should be checked separately.

## Conversation and the Helsinki map

Choose topics from 160 prewritten conversation patterns with Japanese and English support. The offline map contains 36 spots. You can pan and zoom, but you cannot change Ai’s fictional location.
